Research grant for TCM Center
In December 2011 the Innovationsstiftung Hamburg (Hamburg Innovation Foundation) awarded the HanseMerkur Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) a grant of €200,000 for funding research. more…
ARD-Buffet
On 8 November 2011, Dr. Sven Schröder will be a guest on the ARD programme Buffet and answer questions about Traditional Chinese Medicine. ARD-Buffet is broadcast from Monday to Friday from 12.15 pm to 1 pm.
Guests from Shanghai
A Delegation of the TCM-University Shanghai is visiting the TCM-Center on 11th of October 2011. Even the Vice President of the University will take part in the visit.
Between the TCM-University in Hamburg’s twin city and the Center is a cooperation with research projects.
HanseMerkur Symposium
In October 2011, the TCM Center will host the international HanseMerkur-Symposium and 5th DCFG-TCM Workshop on Scientific Approaches to Chinese Medicine. The organizer is the TCM Center and the German-Chinese Research Association for TCM (DCFG). The meeting is a platform for academic exchange on various aspects of TCM. Guests from China, the USA and Europe are expected to attend, among them professors and Ph.D.'s from Shanghai, Tianjin, Yale, Houston and Leiden. Dr. Roland Salchow and Dr. Sven Schröder from the TCM Center will chair the meeting.

In August 2011, doctors of the TCM Center will attend to the annual meeting of Consortium for the Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM) and hold four lectures in Shanghai.
Invitation to Hong Kong
In January 2011, Dr. Sven Schröder is invited by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He will be speaking about diseases of the peripheral nervous system during the Hong Kong International Acupuncture Conference.
